Shift Type: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM (Day) — No weekends or holidays, No call; occasional float to Issaquah clinic as needed
Hours per Week: 40
Candidate Pay Rate: $34 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Room patients and gather accurate histories, medications and allergy information to prepare providers for meaningful visits
- Obtain vital signs including height/weight, pulse oximetry and manual blood pressures to support clinical decision-making
- Perform specimen collection and urinalysis (UA/clean catch and dipstick) with attention to labeling and documentation
- Prepare and maintain charts in EPIC so providers have reliable, up-to-date information
- Schedule appointments, manage follow-up phone calls and handle pharmacy refill requests to keep patient care moving smoothly
- Assist with clinic procedures as needed (casting, nebulizer treatments, basic procedure setups)
- Stock supplies, maintain room readiness and ensure infection prevention best practices
- Float between specialties within the pediatric clinic as needed and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams
Qualifications
- MA-C certification required (WA MA-C in-hand at time of signature)
- Current BLS certification required
- EPIC charting experience required
- At least 6 months of MA experience in a pediatric outpatient clinic preferred (first-timers accepted)
- Reliable personal transportation required for floating between Seattle and Issaquah clinics
- Ability to work Monday–Friday daytime schedule and float within your skillset when requested
- Comfort working with pediatric populations including infants, children and adolescents
Education
- MA-C (Medical Assistant - Certified) required
- High school diploma or equivalent required; additional MA training or credentialing preferred
- Current BLS certification required
Knowledge & Skills
- Rooming patients and recording complete histories, medications and allergies
- Obtaining vital signs: manual blood pressures, pulse oximetry, height and weight
- Specimen collection and urinalysis (UA/dipstick) and proper specimen labeling
- EPIC charting proficiency and accurate chart preparation
- Scheduling appointments, authorization and insurance verification basics
- Telephone triage, follow-up calls and pharmacy refill coordination
- Familiarity with PVR/bladder scanner, casting basics and nebulizer treatments
- Strong communication, teamwork and patient education skills
