Roles & Responsibilities

• Perform high-quality CT exams and support plain film and portable imaging as needed
• Execute CTA and routine CT protocols accurately and safely
• Provide excellent patient care and communication, ensuring patient safety and comfort during imaging
• Collaborate with radiologists, lead techs, and nursing staff to coordinate care and escalate findings when appropriate
• Document studies and chart in Epic and manage images in Synapse/PACS promptly and accurately
• Assist and train in the point-of-care (POC) lab as needed and provide support to nursing staff
• Follow radiation safety protocols and maintain required dosimetry badge compliance
• Be prepared to float to nearby locations on occasion to support departmental needs

Qualifications

• Certified Radiologic Technologist (ARRT (R)) and Certified CT Technologist (ARRT (CT)) required
• Current BLS (AHA) certification required
• Minimum 1 year of CT experience
• Comfortable performing or able to obtain competency in IV starts (preferred)
• Experience with PACS/Epic (Synapse and EPIC experience is a plus)
• Valid driver’s license required for a 60-mile radius requirement and in-state availability for orientation week
• Willingness to work rotating shifts, nights, and scheduled weekends

Education

• ARRT (R) - Registered Radiologic Technologist certification
• ARRT (CT) - Certified CT Technologist
• BLS (AHA) certification

Knowledge & Skills

• Computed Tomography (CT) protocols and CTA experience
• Radiography and portable imaging skills, including ortho portable techniques
• Experience with PACS, Synapse, and Epic charting systems
• Familiarity with Siemens CT equipment and CareStream portable units (GE exposure at other sites)
• Strong teamwork, communication, and patient-centered care skills
• Ability to follow radiation safety practices and departmental protocols
• Comfort using point-of-care lab equipment after training
