Roles & Responsibilities
- Perform routine and protocol-driven CT examinations with accuracy and care
- Operate and troubleshoot Canon and Toshiba CT systems while ensuring patient safety
- Execute CT protocols per radiologist direction and adapt imaging to clinical needs
- Produce and manipulate MIP, MPR and 3D reconstructions using Vitrea workstation
- Obtain vascular access and perform venipuncture when required for studies
- Assist or support interventional procedures such as biopsies and drainages as directed
- Collaborate closely with radiologists, nursing and ED teams in trauma and stroke cases
- Maintain clear documentation in the EMR (Meditech) and support efficient patient flow
Qualifications
- Current State of Hawaii Radiologic Technologist license required by start of assignment
- ARRT Computed Tomography (CT) certification required
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
- Minimum 2 years of acute hospital CT or radiography experience
- Ability to function independently and scan per radiologist protocols
- Proof of flu vaccination or approved medical/religious exception prior to start
Knowledge & Skills
- Strong knowledge of CT protocols and routine CT exam workflows
- Experience with Canon and Toshiba CT units
- Familiarity with Vitrea workstation and post-processing (MIP, MPR, 3D)
- Skill in venipuncture and vascular access for imaging studies
- Experience supporting vascular, cardiac, trauma and stroke imaging
- Comfortable working within Meditech EMR for order entry and documentation
- Ability to maintain patient safety, infection control, and radiation safety standards
