Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality, patient-centered nursing care for adult Med‑Surg/Acute Care and Observation patients using the nursing process
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care — prioritize safety and clinical outcomes
- Monitor telemetry and respond to changes in cardiac or medical status in a timely manner
- Coordinate care across disciplines for surgical (including ortho) and cath lab patients to ensure smooth perioperative transitions
- Participate in unit call rotation and support staffing needs when requested
- Document care accurately and maintain required certifications and vaccination status
Qualifications
- Current RN license to practice in Colorado (required)
- Minimum 2 years RN experience in Acute Care / Med‑Surg / Telemetry (required)
- Current BLS (AHA) required
- Current ACLS (AHA) required
- Flu vaccine required (no exemptions)
- Willingness to work 12‑hour day shifts, weekend rotations and participate in call rotation (1 call shift every 2 weeks)
- Candidates should submit resume, Nursys license copy, skills sheet, BLS/ACLS certs, and proof of flu vaccine
Knowledge & Skills
- Nursing process and strong patient assessment skills
- Med‑Surg and Acute Care clinical knowledge
- Telemetry monitoring and interpretation
- Care coordination and interdisciplinary communication
- Observation (OBS) unit workflows and patient throughput
- Experience supporting orthopedic surgery patients and cath lab procedures
- Comfort with 12‑hour shifts and periodic on‑call responsibilities
