Roles & Responsibilities

• Assist cardiologists and the cath lab team during cardiac catheterization and peripheral vascular procedures with precision and calm
• Prepare, maintain, and troubleshoot Cath Lab equipment and instrumentation to ensure safe, efficient procedures
• Maintain a sterile field and follow infection control practices throughout each case
• Closely monitor patient hemodynamics and status before, during, and after procedures, escalating concerns promptly
• Document procedures, assessments, and patient status accurately in Epic
• Collaborate with nurses, physicians, and techs to coordinate patient flow and optimize outcomes
• Support post-procedure recovery and education so patients leave informed and cared for

Qualifications

• Active RN licensure required (pending state licenses are not accepted)
• Minimum of 1 year clinical experience preferred; first-timers and new grads will be considered
• Hands-on experience or familiarity with cardiac catheterization and cath lab workflow
• RCIS certification highly preferred
• Experience with Epic charting is a plus
• Compliance with facility vaccine policy: flu vaccine required (medical or religious exemptions allowed); COVID-19 vaccine not required

Education

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) licensure

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of cardiac catheterization procedures and peripheral vascular interventions
• Proficiency in Cath Lab sterile technique and instrumentation
• Comfortable with Epic electronic charting and accurate documentation
• Strong patient monitoring and assessment skills during invasive procedures
• Good communication and teamwork skills in a fast-paced procedural environment
• Ability to follow protocols and adapt to short-term acute care workflows
