Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality patient care in both Med/Surg and Emergency settings depending on unit needs
• Assess, triage, and monitor patients using critical thinking and evidence-based practice
• Collaborate with physicians, advanced practice providers, and the care team to develop and implement care plans
• Administer medications and treatments safely, documenting thoroughly and accurately
• Respond to emergencies calmly and efficiently using ACLS and PALS protocols when required
• Educate patients and families with clear, compassionate communication
• Participate in unit-based quality improvement and safety initiatives to improve patient outcomes
• Maintain confidentiality and professionalism while supporting team members across departments

Qualifications

• Current California RN license in good standing
• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
• Minimum 2 years experience as an Emergency Room nurse (experience in Med/Surg also valuable)
• ACLS, PALS, and CPR certifications required (must be current)
• TNCC required within one year of hire
• Strong interpersonal, problem-solving, written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to collaborate across departments and be a reliable team player

Education

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing

Knowledge & Skills

• Med/Surg nursing fundamentals and best practices
• Emergency nursing assessment and triage
• Advanced cardiac life support (ACLS) and pediatric advanced life support (PALS)
• Basic life support (CPR) and emergency response
• Teamwork, effective communication, and professional accountability
• Clinical problem-solving and time management in fast-paced settings
