Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate direct care to residents, honoring dignity and preferences
- Assist with activities of daily living (bathing, dressing, mobility, toileting)
- Support safe transfers and ambulation, using proper body mechanics and assistive devices
- Observe and report changes in condition to nursing leadership in a timely way
- Document care accurately and completely, maintaining resident records and care plans
- Follow infection control and safety protocols to protect residents and colleagues
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to deliver person-centered care
- Support mealtime assistance and nutritional needs as part of daily care
Qualifications
- Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) or T-CNA certification
- Comfortable and experienced working 12+ hour night shifts
- Ability to work the scheduled days: Monday, Thursday, Friday evenings/nights
- Willingness to complete any facility-required onboarding (orientation, background check, drug screen)
- Strong communication skills and a team-first attitude
Education
- Completion of an accredited CNA training program; high school diploma or GED preferred
Knowledge & Skills
- Hands-on resident care and ADL assistance
- Basic infection control practices and safety procedures
- Clear, accurate documentation and observation reporting
- Comfort with bedside tasks and safe patient handling
- Good communication with residents, families, and the care team
- Ability to follow care plans and take direction from nursing staff
