Contract Type: Travel Contract
Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts (3x12): Day shifts 7:00 AM - 7:30 PM, Night shifts 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM. Shift assignments rotate every 4-week scheduling period and include weekend coverage (every other / every third). Floating required.
Hours per Week: 60
Candidate Pay Rate: $55 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality emergency nursing care for adolescents, adults, pediatrics and geriatrics in an oncology pod environment
- Perform rapid triage and prioritize care to stabilize patients and direct timely interventions
- Initiate and maintain IV therapy, administer blood products and manage central line care when needed
- Monitor cardiac rhythms and interpret dysrhythmias to support acute decision-making
- Manage ventilated patients and support respiratory therapies including BiPAP/CPAP and ABG interpretation
- Document thoroughly and efficiently in EPIC to ensure continuity of care and clear communication
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including respiratory, radiology, pharmacy and social work to optimize patient outcomes
- Support unit needs by floating between areas as required and participating in safe holiday and weekend coverage
Qualifications
- Active RN license in good standing (state of Ohio or compact license accepted where applicable)
- Minimum 2 years of Emergency Department (ED) experience
- Minimum 1 year of travel nursing experience required (hard stop)
- EPIC charting experience required
- Current certifications: BCLS (BLS), ACLS, NIHSS and PALS
- Demonstrated proficiency with IV starts, telemetry/cardiac monitoring, and care of ventilated patients
- Comfort working in a STEMI and Stroke Certified facility is a plus; oncology ED experience preferred
Education
- Active RN license required
- Associate Degree in Nursing required; BSN preferred
Knowledge & Skills
- Strong triage skills and ability to manage high-acuity patients
- Proficiency with EPIC electronic health record and timely documentation
- IV therapy, phlebotomy and blood product administration expertise
- Telemetry and dysrhythmia interpretation and management
- Experience with ventilator care, ABG interpretation, and BiPAP/CPAP management
- Central line care and securement knowledge
- Familiarity with isolation precautions, PPE use, and safe infection control practices
- Ability to float and adapt to changing unit needs with a team-first attitude
