Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality, patient-centered anesthesia care across a broad case mix including trauma, obstetrics, spine, thoracic, vascular, orthopedics, ENT, gynecology, urology, and GI procedures
• Deliver anesthesia services in both inpatient and outpatient settings with a focus on safety and excellence
• Participate in a collaborative call rotation that supports team coverage and physician wellness
• Collaborate closely with surgeons, advanced practice providers, nursing staff, and multidisciplinary teams to coordinate excellent perioperative care
• Maintain and expand procedural expertise across diverse surgical specialties
• Engage in mentorship activities with colleagues and trainees to foster a supportive learning environment
• Contribute to a culture of teamwork, mutual respect, and shared success within a physician-led system

Qualifications

• Board-Eligible or Board-Certified Anesthesiologist (required)
• MD or DO with completion of an accredited anesthesiology residency
• Comfortable practicing across trauma centers and outpatient surgical settings
• Willingness to participate in an equitable call rotation and collaborate in a large anesthesia group
• Candidates must be authorized to work in the U.S.; UCHealth is unable to support visa sponsorship for this position
• No locum or locum-to-perm arrangements — this role is for permanent placement

Education

• MD or DO degree and completion of anesthesiology residency
• Board Eligible or Board Certified in Anesthesiology

Knowledge & Skills

• Expertise in general anesthesia and anesthetic care across high-acuity trauma and diverse surgical specialties
• Experience or comfort with obstetric anesthesia (OB)
• Competence in anesthesia for major spine, thoracic, vascular, orthopedic, ENT, gynecologic, urologic, and gastrointestinal procedures
• Ability to work effectively in multidisciplinary teams and communicate clearly with surgeons and perioperative staff
• Interest in mentorship, teaching, and optional leadership roles
• Strong commitment to patient-centered care, safety, and continuous improvement
