Roles & Responsibilities

• Triage patients quickly and safely, prioritizing care based on clinical need
• Perform thorough patient assessments and initiate appropriate interventions
• Collaborate closely with physicians, mid-level providers, and the care team to coordinate treatment
• Respond rapidly to changes in patient condition and escalate when needed
• Provide direct patient care including IV therapy and use of manual and electronic medical equipment
• Document patient status, treatments, and outcomes clearly and accurately
• Give clear direction to ED techs, registration staff, and allied health personnel
• Contribute to a culture of teamwork, compassion, and continuous improvement

Qualifications

• Current MT State RN license required
• Minimum 2 years of Emergency Room (ER) nursing experience required
• BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC, ENPC required or obtainable within 6 months of hire
• Certified Emergency Nurse (CEN) and Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred
• Ability to operate manual and electronic medical equipment and perform IV skills
• Willingness to complete pre-employment screenings: background check, drug screen, health/immunizations

Education

• Degree from an accredited nursing program required
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Emergency Department nursing principles and triage best practices
• Strong patient assessment and clinical decision-making skills
• IV skills and familiarity with a range of ED equipment
• Clear, compassionate communication with patients, families, and providers
• Basic office skills and comfort with electronic documentation systems
• Teamwork mindset and ability to lead small teams in fast-paced situations
