Roles & Responsibilities
- Evaluate patients to determine functional abilities and occupational needs
- Develop individualized treatment plans that maximize each patient’s independence
- Implement therapeutic procedures and use assistive devices to improve outcomes
- Document patient progress and communicate updates to the referring physician and care team
- Collaborate with rehabilitation staff and other disciplines to coordinate care
- Provide patient and family education to support carryover of therapy goals
- Ensure practice complies with the California State Practice Act and facility policies
Qualifications
- Current California Occupational Therapist License (required)
- Bachelor of Science degree in Occupational Therapy (required)
- Comfortable working full time on day shifts and collaborating with an interdisciplinary team
- Strong patient assessment and treatment planning skills
- Excellent communication and documentation skills
Education
- Bachelor of Science in Occupational Therapy
