Roles & Responsibilities

• Manage the Cost Accounting and Decision Support systems (STRATA) to deliver monthly service line P&Ls and physician practice P&Ls that drive strategic decisions
• Lead development of financial feasibility, cost and reimbursement templates and compute ROI, NPV, IRR and other metrics to evaluate capital projects
• Oversee reporting to external rating agencies (S&P, Fitch, DAC, EMMA) and ensure accurate, timely submissions
• Validate cost structures, review feasibility studies, and support performance improvement plans for service lines with variances
• Implement and maintain STRATA forecasting and rolling forecast modules, and support ERP and leasing software components as needed
• Train and mentor managers, the supervisor of decision support and analysts to strengthen productivity and reporting capabilities
• Compile data and prepare reports for FEMA/Single Audit, GME reporting, annual financial audits and cost report filings
• Respond to ad hoc reporting requests and provide documentation to support operational and administrative financial decisions

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or related field (required)
• Minimum of 10 years' experience in cost accounting, budgeting and/or decision support (required)
• Healthcare finance experience, including hospital or health system familiarity
• Experience with STRATA financial software or a similar decision support platform
• Experience generating service line profitability analyses and P&L preparation
• Preferred: Master’s degree in Business Administration or Health Administration
• Preferred: Financial and/or healthcare certifications and experience with bundled payments and physician reimbursement
• Proven experience training, mentoring and leading small teams

Education

• Bachelor Degree in Accounting, Finance or related field (required)
• Master Degree in Business Administration or Health Administration (preferred)

Knowledge & Skills

• Cost accounting, budgeting and P&L analysis
• Service line profitability and decision support methodologies
• STRATA financial software (implementation and forecasting modules)
• Financial reporting and forecasting best practices
• Familiarity with reporting to rating agencies (S&P, Fitch, DAC, EMMA)
• Experience with FEMA/Single Audit and GME reporting requirements
• Hands-on knowledge of ERP implementations and leasing software components
• Strong analytical, communication and stakeholder-engagement skills
