Roles & Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise clinical imaging staff, including Lead and Senior Technologists, to deliver high-quality patient care
• Oversee image quality control and enforce departmental policies and procedures
• Manage daily staffing and resource allocation to meet productivity and budgetary goals
• Drive quality improvement initiatives and ensure compliance with regulatory standards
• Coach, mentor, and support staff development while promoting employee satisfaction
• Serve as a clinical resource and liaison between patients, physicians, and multidisciplinary teams to resolve issues
• Evaluate departmental performance, report to leadership, and recommend operational improvements
• Conduct and complete timely staff evaluations and participate in progressive discipline when needed
• Maintain clinical competency by performing diagnostic procedures and providing education to patients, staff, and students
• Collaborate with service engineers and other departments to coordinate imaging services and equipment needs

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years’ experience as a Diagnostic Radiologic Technologist in an acute-care setting
• Minimum 2 years supervisory experience in an acute-care setting
• Associate Degree
• Current California Certificate of Radiologic Technology (CRT) OR ARRT license
• Current CPR certification
• Desired: Certification in a specialized area (NMT, MRI, etc.) and prior managerial experience (3–5 years preferred)

Education

• Associate Degree
• Certificate of Radiologic Technology (CRT) or ARRT licensure required

Knowledge & Skills

• Familiarity with Joint Commission standards, Title 17 & 22, and ACR compliance and surveys
• Strong command of radiographic positioning, radiation safety, and quality assurance
• Proven leadership, staff development, and people-management skills
• Excellent communication, problem-solving, and conflict-resolution abilities
• Experience with resource allocation, scheduling, and operational management
• Ability to teach and mentor staff, students, and families in clinical procedures
• Competency in evaluating and improving departmental workflows and patient experience
