Roles & Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality respiratory care to patients across the acute care setting, using evidence-based practices
- Manage and monitor ventilators and advanced airway devices to optimize patient breathing
- Respond to emergencies and provide life support interventions (BLS/ACLS/PALS/NRP) when needed
- Perform respiratory assessments, create treatment plans, and adjust therapies with clinical judgment
- Document all care accurately and timely in the patient record to support continuity and safety
- Collaborate closely with physicians, nurses, and the interdisciplinary team to coordinate patient care
- Complete required Trinity Specialty Specific Competency Testing and Skills Checklists to demonstrate proficiency
- Maintain compliance with infection control, safety protocols, and facility credentialing requirements
Qualifications
- Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, NRP (current and verifiable)
- Able to complete License/Certificate Verification prior to start
- Willingness to complete Trinity Specialty Specific Competency Testing and Trinity Skills Checklist
- Must pass fit testing, drug screen, and required immunizations/health screenings (COVID-19 vaccine, MMR, Hep B, Influenza, Varicella, 2-step PPD or IGRA)
- Strong clinical experience in respiratory therapy within acute care settings (specific years not listed; please confirm with recruiter)
Knowledge & Skills
- Proficient in ventilator management and advanced airway care
- Skilled in emergency respiratory interventions and life support protocols
- Solid understanding of pulmonary assessment, oxygen therapy, and aerosol treatments
- Comfortable with clinical documentation and electronic medical records
- Excellent communication, teamwork, and patient education abilities
- Able to demonstrate competency through Trinity testing and facility-specific skill checks
