Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts (4 x 12-hour shifts one week, 3 x 12-hour shifts the next — every other week), AP shift, 7:00 AM - 7:30 PM. Days of week vary by rotation and staffing needs.

Candidate Pay Rate: $42 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

• Deliver safe, compassionate nursing care to patients following facility policies and standards
• Perform thorough assessments and document findings clearly and promptly
• Administer medications and treatments accurately and monitor patient responses
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to create and update individualized care plans
• Educate patients and families regarding care, medications and discharge planning
• Respond quickly to changes in patient condition and escalate concerns appropriately
• Support unit workflow during busy periods and help onboard local staff as needed

Qualifications

• Current, active RN or LPN license (eligible to practice in North Carolina)
• Minimum clinical experience in acute care (travel nursing experience is a plus)
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; ACLS/PALS as relevant to specialty preferred
• Ability to work rotating 12-hour shifts including the AP shift pattern noted
• Strong clinical judgment, good communication skills, and teamwork mindset
• Up-to-date immunizations and ability to meet facility onboarding requirements

Education

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required; BSN preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Solid patient assessment and documentation skills
• Medication administration and IV therapy competence
• Familiarity with electronic medical record charting
• Prioritization and time management during busy 12-hour shifts
• Effective communication with patients, families and interdisciplinary teams
• Adaptability to new clinical environments and facility protocols
