Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, patient-centered nursing care and perform thorough assessments
• Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately
• Coordinate care with interdisciplinary team members and communicate changes promptly
• Document patient status, interventions, and outcomes in the electronic medical record
• Support discharge planning and patient education to promote smooth transitions
• Respond to rapid changes in patient condition and escalate when necessary
• Contribute to unit process improvement and maintain a patient-safety focus

Qualifications

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license—Maine license or compact license preferred
• Prior acute care RN experience; travel RN experience a plus
• BLS required; ACLS or specialty certifications preferred depending on unit
• Strong clinical assessment and medication administration skills
• Professional communication skills and ability to collaborate with diverse teams
• Willingness to work a 12+ hour day shift schedule for the assignment

Education

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN); BSN preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Skilled in patient assessment, IV therapy, medication administration, and documentation
• Comfortable using electronic health record systems
• Ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced clinical environment
• Strong critical thinking and clinical judgment
• Excellent interpersonal skills for patient and team communication
• Familiarity with infection control and patient-safety protocols
