Roles & Responsibilities

• Evaluate and treat patients using evidence-based therapeutic interventions
• Develop individualized care plans that improve mobility, function, and independence
• Document patient progress clearly and promptly in the facility's health record
• Collaborate with nursing, case management, and rehabilitation team members to optimize outcomes
• Educate patients and families on home exercise programs and safe functional strategies
• Use sound clinical judgment to adapt plans of care based on patient response and goals

Qualifications

• Licensed Physical Therapist (PT) or eligible for Maryland licensure
• Current BLS/CPR certification or ability to obtain quickly
• Experience in inpatient/rehabilitation or outpatient settings preferred
• Strong clinical assessment and therapeutic exercise skills
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills; patient-centered attitude

Education

• DPT (Doctor of Physical Therapy) or equivalent degree in Physical Therapy

Knowledge & Skills

• Skilled in therapeutic exercise, manual therapy basics, and mobility training
• Proficient with documentation standards and clear clinical charting
• Familiarity with common rehab diagnoses and functional outcome measures
• Ability to educate patients and caregivers in plain, encouraging language
• Comfortable working within interdisciplinary care teams
