Roles & Responsibilities

• Assess and evaluate patient functional status and mobility to create meaningful plans of care
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans that restore movement and independence
• Deliver evidence-based physical therapy interventions and therapeutic exercise
• Monitor progress, adjust plans, and document outcomes to ensure quality care
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and rehab team members for coordinated patient-centered care
• Educate patients and caregivers on home programs, safety, and self-management strategies
• Contribute to discharge planning and transitions of care to support long-term recovery

Qualifications

• Licensed Physical Therapist in Mississippi or eligible for state licensure
• Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) or equivalent professional PT degree
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification or willingness to obtain upon hire
• Comfortable working with adult rehabilitation populations and common PT diagnoses
• Strong clinical judgment, documentation skills, and a team-oriented mindset
• Ability to work Monday through Friday, day shifts as scheduled

Education

• Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) preferred; Master or Bachelor of Science in Physical Therapy accepted where applicable

Knowledge & Skills

• Skilled in patient assessment, therapeutic exercise, and manual techniques
• Proficient with documentation best practices and electronic medical records
• Knowledge of mobility aids, adaptive equipment, and transfer techniques
• Effective communicator who can educate patients and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams
• Time management and prioritization skills to maintain caseload and quality standards
