Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, patient-centered nursing care in an acute care setting
• Assess patient conditions, monitor vital signs, and report changes promptly
• Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately
• Document care and interventions clearly in the medical record
• Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and the interdisciplinary team to optimize outcomes
• Float to other units as needed to support patients and the team
• Educate patients and families about care plans, treatments, and discharge instructions
• Maintain infection control and safety standards at all times

Qualifications

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in Pennsylvania required
• BLS certification required; ACLS preferred
• Current CPR certification
• Acute care experience preferred; ability to adapt while floating to other areas
• Comfortable working evening/night shifts and every other weekend
• Strong communication skills and a team-focused attitude

Education

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Patient assessment and clinical decision making
• Medication administration and IV therapy
• Wound care and monitoring of post-operative patients
• Electronic charting and accurate documentation
• Time management, prioritization, and triage skills
• Effective communication with patients, families, and care teams
