Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, patient-centered nursing care to assigned residents during night shifts
• Administer medications and treatments accurately and safely according to orders
• Monitor, record, and report changes in patient condition and vital signs promptly
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary care team to support individualized care plans
• Document nursing care clearly and timely in the patient chart to ensure continuity
• Assist with admissions, transfers, and discharges with a calm, professional demeanor
• Support infection control practices and maintain a safe environment for patients and staff

Qualifications

• Current Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license — New Mexico licensure preferred or compact-state equivalent
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; ACLS or other certifications are a plus
• Prior experience in long-term care, med-surg, or similar settings is preferred
• Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with interdisciplinary teams
• Ability to work the scheduled night shifts (Tuesday-Thursday) and provide dependable coverage
• Proof of immunizations and background checks as required by facility policy

Education

• Graduate of an accredited Practical Nursing program
• Current LPN licensure required

Knowledge & Skills

• Solid knowledge of medication administration and documentation
• Skilled in wound care basics, infection control, and monitoring vitals
• Comfortable with electronic health record charting and timely documentation
• Ability to prioritize, triage, and escalate changes in patient condition
• Strong patient advocacy and family communication skills
• Team-oriented with a positive, solution-focused attitude
