Roles & Responsibilities

• Assist patients with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting to preserve dignity and comfort
• Take and record vital signs, reporting any significant changes to the nursing team promptly
• Support safe patient mobility and transfers, using assistive devices and proper body mechanics
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation in patient charts and communicate changes in condition
• Help maintain a clean, safe environment and adhere to infection control practices
• Collaborate with nurses and interdisciplinary team members to follow care plans and deliver consistent, compassionate care
• Provide emotional support and clear communication to patients and their families

Qualifications

• Current Licensed Nursing Assistant (LNA) credential in the applicable state(s); ability to work in VT/NH area preferred
• Valid CPR/BLS certification or willingness to obtain upon hire
• Reliable personal transportation and ability to arrange local housing for the assignment
• Ability to work evenings and both weekends when needed
• Strong communication skills, reliability, and a team-first mindset

Education

• LNA certification (Licensed Nursing Assistant) required
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of basic nursing assistant duties and patient care best practices
• Skillful in taking vital signs and observing/reporting patient changes
• Familiarity with infection control, patient safety, and safe transfer techniques
• Good documentation practices and attention to detail
• Effective interpersonal skills and ability to work as part of a diverse care team
• Time management and adaptability in a fast-paced healthcare setting
