Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate direct care to residents, including assistance with activities of daily living
• Take and record vital signs accurately and report changes in condition to nursing staff
• Assist with safe resident transfers, mobility, and positioning to promote comfort and dignity
• Maintain clear, timely documentation in the chart and communicate effectively with the care team
• Follow infection control protocols and contribute to a clean, safe environment
• Support engagement and social interaction by assisting with activities and resident needs

Qualifications

• Active Licensed Nursing Assistant (LNA) certification (NH or VT as applicable)
• CPR/BLS certification preferred or willingness to obtain upon hire
• Current immunizations and ability to pass required health screenings and background checks
• Strong communication skills and a team-oriented attitude
• Previous long-term care or acute care experience preferred but new grads with strong clinical skills are welcome

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Completion of an approved LNA training program

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of basic nursing assistant duties and safe patient handling
• Comfortable taking vitals, performing ADLs, and documenting care accurately
• Ability to follow care plans and report observations clearly to licensed nursing staff
• Familiarity with infection control and standard precautions
• Good time management and the ability to prioritize resident needs
• Compassionate bedside manner and strong interpersonal skills
