Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, hands-on personal care to residents, supporting dignity and comfort
• Assist with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, toileting and mobility
• Take and record vital signs accurately and report any changes to the nursing team
• Document care and observations clearly and timely in the resident records
• Support safe transfers and ambulation, using proper body mechanics and equipment
• Collaborate with nurses and interdisciplinary team members to deliver person-centered care
• Maintain a clean, safe environment and follow infection control procedures

Qualifications

• Current LNA certification (Licensed Nursing Assistant) — NH and VT coverage preferred
• Current CPR/BLS certification or willingness to obtain prior to start
• Proof of immunizations and successful background check as required by facility
• Comfortable working the specified weekend-focused schedule (Sun, Fri, Sat)
• Strong communication skills, reliability, and a caring attitude
• Previous experience in long-term care or similar settings is a plus

Education

• Completion of a state-approved nursing assistant program
• High school diploma or equivalent

Knowledge & Skills

• Fundamental resident care and ADL assistance
• Accurate vital sign measurement and basic clinical observation
• Infection prevention and safe patient handling
• Clear, professional documentation and communication
• Time management and teamwork in busy care settings
• Customer-service mindset with compassion for residents and families
