Roles & Responsibilities

• Prepare and dispense medications accurately and efficiently to support patient care
• Verify prescription information and assist pharmacists with order processing
• Maintain accurate medication inventory and perform restocking tasks
• Label and package medications following facility and regulatory guidelines
• Communicate clearly with pharmacists, nursing staff, and patients to ensure safe medication use
• Float between Manhattan, Brooklyn, and Queens locations as needed to provide reliable coverage

Qualifications

• CPhT certification (Class: CPhT) — required
• Prior experience as a pharmacy technician preferred
• Ability to float between Manhattan, Brooklyn, and Queens and work a full-time day schedule
• Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and commitment to patient safety
• Familiarity with pharmacy policies, HIPAA, and standard medication handling procedures

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Pharmacy Technician certification (CPhT)

Knowledge & Skills

• Medication preparation and dispensing best practices
• Inventory management and medication restocking
• Accurate labeling, packaging, and record-keeping
• Comfortable using pharmacy dispensing systems and electronic records
• Clear communication with clinical staff and patients
• Understanding of regulatory and safety requirements in a pharmacy setting
