Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate direct care to residents, assisting with activities of daily living
• Monitor and record vital signs and report changes to the nursing team promptly
• Assist with safe transfers and mobility, promoting independence whenever possible
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation in resident charts
• Follow infection control practices and facility safety protocols at all times
• Communicate effectively with residents, families, and interdisciplinary staff
• Support a positive resident experience by responding to needs with dignity and respect

Qualifications

• Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license/certification in good standing
• Must be able to work the assigned night shift and every other weekend schedule
• Ability to pass required background check and drug screen
• Up-to-date immunizations per facility policy
• Previous experience in long-term care or similar setting is a plus
• Strong interpersonal skills and a patient-first attitude

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Completion of an approved CNA training program

Knowledge & Skills

• Hands-on resident care and ADL assistance
• Basic vital sign measurement and documentation
• Infection prevention and standard precautions
• Time management and prioritization on a busy night shift
• Clear, compassionate communication with residents and team members
• Familiarity with electronic health record charting is helpful
