Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, one-on-one care for a resident requiring 1:1 supervision
• Assist with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility
• Monitor and report changes in resident condition promptly to nursing staff
• Follow individualized care plans and ensure resident safety at all times
• Document care accurately and maintain clear communication with the care team
• Support a resident-centered environment that promotes dignity and independence

Qualifications

• Current CNA certification in the hiring state (required)
• Experience in resident care and 1:1 patient supervision preferred
• PRN availability and willingness to work block schedules as needed by the facility
• Current BLS/CPR certification as required by facility policies
• Ability to pass background checks, drug screening, and health screenings
• Strong communication skills and a team-oriented attitude

Education

• CNA certification (state-approved) required
• High school diploma or GED preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Skilled in safe transfer and mobility assistance techniques
• Knowledge of infection control and standard precautions
• Comfortable with documentation, charting, and care plan adherence
• Able to observe and report subtle changes in resident behavior or condition
• Compassionate bedside manner and strong interpersonal skills
• Time management and the ability to prioritize during busy shifts
