Shift Type: Night shifts, 12-hour shifts; schedule varies with primary coverage on nights and weekends (12hr night shifts, exact start/end times vary by facility)

Candidate Pay Rate: $60 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Deliver safe, patient-family centered emergency care that aligns with hospital and Maine state standards
- Perform rapid, accurate assessments and act quickly and effectively in emergency situations
- Develop and communicate patient care plans with the care team to ensure coordinated treatment
- Maintain strict confidentiality and document patient encounters thoroughly and clearly
- Use clinical judgment to function independently while collaborating with physicians and staff
- Operate clinical systems and electronic documentation with strong computer skills
- Support the mission, vision, and values of the organization through compassionate care
Qualifications
- Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in the State of Maine or authorization to practice pending licensure by endorsement
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
- Current BCLS required
- ACLS and PALS required (within six months of hire date if not current on start)
- Minimum 2 years of emergency department nursing experience preferred
- Proven ability to function independently and perform under pressure
Education
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
Knowledge & Skills
- Strong emergency nursing and rapid assessment skills
- Excellent communication with patients, families, and interdisciplinary teams
- Thorough documentation and electronic charting proficiency
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and patient-centered care
- Solid clinical decision-making and emergency response capabilities
- Comfort with ED workflows, triage, and high-acuity patient care
