Candidate Pay Rate: $41 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide skilled, evidence-based OTA interventions under the supervision of an Occupational Therapist to improve patients' cognitive and physical function
- Perform ADL retraining and therapeutic activities that help patients regain independence
- Deliver therapeutic exercises and modalities safely and effectively
- Use supportive and assistive devices and teach patients and caregivers proper use
- Accurately record treatment minutes and document all regulatory and clinical information in the electronic medical record
- Assess patient progress, report outcomes, and collaborate with the supervising OT to adjust treatment plans
- Participate in patient care conferences, utilization review, and rehabilitation meetings to advocate for patient needs
- Support discharge planning by providing input to the supervising OT and coordinating necessary DME or supplies
- Supervise and mentor students under OT guidance, contributing to the next generation of clinicians
Qualifications
- Active OTA license (must meet Missouri state licensure/registration requirements; Compact allowed)
- Minimum 1 year OTA experience required; LTC/SNF experience required
- New grads considered if they have Level II fieldwork (not just Level I observation)
- Familiarity with NBCOT/AOTA practice standards and state practice acts
- Comfortable with electronic documentation and accurately recording treatment minutes
- Ability to communicate effectively with supervising OT, patients, families, and interdisciplinary team
- Able to participate in required facility trainings and meetings and support DME procurement when needed

- Accurate electronic documentation and regulatory compliance
- Treatment minutes tracking and productivity management
- Experience with LTC/SNF workflows, utilization review, and rehab team communication
- Comfort supervising students and collaborating with interdisciplinary teams
