Roles & Responsibilities

• Evaluate clients to identify functional strengths, limitations, and realistic goals
• Develop and implement individualized occupational therapy treatment plans
• Provide skilled interventions to improve activities of daily living and independence
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to coordinate holistic care
• Document clinical progress accurately and timely in the medical record
• Train and educate patients, families, and caregivers to support carryover
• Recommend adaptive equipment and home modifications to maximize safety and independence

Qualifications

• Valid California Occupational Therapy license (required)
• Occupational Therapist Registered (OTR) credential preferred
• Current BLS/CPR certification (or willingness to obtain)
• Strong documentation skills and familiarity with clinical outcomes
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills with residents and care teams
• Ability to work the posted schedule, including weekend coverage

Education

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Occupational Therapy

Knowledge & Skills

• Skilled in assessments, treatment planning, and ADL retraining
• Experience with mobility aids, adaptive equipment, and energy conservation techniques
• Knowledge of rehabilitation principles and geriatric care approaches
• Comfortable working within interdisciplinary teams and care pathways
• Proficient with electronic medical records and timely documentation
• Strong clinical reasoning and patient education abilities
