Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide patient-centered physical therapy evaluations and create individualized treatment plans
- Deliver evidence-based therapeutic interventions including manual therapy, therapeutic exercise, and functional training
- Monitor and document patient progress thoroughly in the medical record to guide care decisions
- Communicate clearly with patients, families and the interdisciplinary team to coordinate optimal outcomes
- Educate patients and caregivers on home programs, safety and strategies to maximize independence
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and help maintain a safe, efficient clinical environment
- Adapt interventions to meet the needs of a diverse patient population and changing caseloads
Qualifications
- Current Washington state Physical Therapist license or ability to obtain state licensure prior to start
- Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) or an entry-level degree in Physical Therapy as required by state
- Basic Life Support (BLS) / CPR certification (or willingness to obtain promptly)
- Comfortable working in an active clinical environment with varied patient needs and acuity
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with a collaborative mindset
- Ability to pass required background checks and meet facility onboarding requirements
Education
- Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) preferred; or Bachelor's/Master's in Physical Therapy as required by state
Knowledge & Skills
- Skilled in patient evaluation, goal setting and outcomes-driven treatment planning
- Experience with therapeutic exercise, balance and gait training, and functional mobility interventions
- Proficient documentation skills and familiarity with electronic health record systems
- Good clinical reasoning and ability to adapt interventions based on patient response
- Strong teamwork and time management skills to manage a full, daily caseload
- Patient education and motivational coaching to support recovery and independence
