Shift Type: Weekend and holiday coverage with call responsibilities; Day shift 6:45 AM - 7:15 PM (No block scheduling)
Hours per Week: 36
Candidate Pay Rate: $41 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Assist in a wide variety of surgical procedures, maintaining efficiency and precision
- Prepare and maintain a sterile field and ensure instruments and supplies are ready for each case
- Provide reliable perioperative call coverage and respond promptly for urgent cases
- Support Level 1 trauma cases with composure and strong technical skill
- Collaborate closely with surgeons, nurses, and support staff to deliver excellent patient care
- Document perioperative care and instrument counts accurately and professionally
- Adapt quickly to changing case demands, including weekends and holidays
Qualifications
- Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) required
- Level 1 trauma experience required; comfortable in high-acuity trauma settings
- Travel experience preferred; able to adapt to new facilities and teams
- Willingness to work weekends, holidays, and take call as needed
- High demonstrated skills rating in perioperative practice
- Burn experience preferred
Education
- Completion of an accredited surgical technologist program and CST certification
Knowledge & Skills
- Thorough knowledge of sterile technique and OR safety protocols
- Familiarity with surgical instruments, equipment setup, and turnover procedures
- Experience with trauma surgery workflows and rapid response in emergent situations
- Strong communication and teamwork skills in high-pressure environments
- Attention to detail for accurate counts and documentation
- Ability to multitask and prioritize during busy operative schedules
