Roles & Responsibilities

• Deliver compassionate, patient-centered nursing care to residents at Bloomfield Nursing and Rehab
• Administer medications and treatments accurately and document thoroughly
• Monitor and assess patient condition, reporting changes to the interdisciplinary team
• Provide clear education and support to patients and families about care plans
• Collaborate with nursing colleagues and facility staff to maintain high standards of care
• Follow facility policies, infection control protocols, and safety procedures
• Respond calmly and effectively to emergencies and urgent patient needs

Qualifications

• Current, active LPN or RN license (New Mexico license preferred or eligibility to obtain)
• Basic Life Support (BLS) or CPR certification required
• Up-to-date immunizations and health screenings as required by the facility
• Comfortable working overnight 12-hour shifts and managing a busy caseload
• Previous experience in long-term care, rehabilitation, or skilled nursing is a plus

Education

• LPN: Graduate of an accredited practical nursing program
• RN: Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong clinical assessment and vital sign monitoring skills
• Medication administration and documentation accuracy
• Wound care and restorative nursing knowledge
• Familiarity with electronic health records and care charting
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
• Ability to prioritize and multitask in a fast-paced environment
