Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate direct patient care and assist with activities of daily living
- Observe and report changes in patient condition to the nursing team
- Assist with mobility, transfers, and safe patient positioning
- Take and record vital signs accurately and timely
- Maintain clean, safe, and comfortable patient environments
- Document care interactions thoroughly and communicate effectively with the team
- Support a positive patient experience through respectful, patient-centered care
Qualifications
- Valid Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification required
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR) preferred or willing to obtain
- Comfortable assisting with personal care, mobility, and activities of daily living
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work well with a care team
- Reliable, punctual, and committed to delivering high-quality patient care
- Ability to pass facility-required background check and health screenings
Education
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- CNA certification required
Knowledge & Skills
- Fundamentals of patient care and infection control practices
- Proficient in taking and charting vital signs
- Skilled in safe patient handling and transfer techniques
- Basic documentation and charting accuracy
- Empathy, patience, and strong interpersonal skills
- Ability to follow care plans and escalate concerns appropriately
