Candidate Pay Rate: $31 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Greet and room patients with warmth, collect accurate vitals, and review current medications
- Prepare exam and procedure rooms so providers can focus on care
- Perform venipuncture and specimen collection, label and prepare labs per protocol
- Administer immunizations, injections, or oral meds as directed by providers
- Obtain 12-lead EKGs and document results as required
- Document patient history summaries and update the medical record (Epic / CS-Link)
- Explain clinic policies and patient instructions within scope of practice
- Clean and reprocess equipment following department infection control guidelines
- Assist with tracking and monitoring department-specific operational data
Qualifications
- Medical Assistant Diploma from a DAPIP-accredited program
- High school diploma or GED required
- Minimum 2 years experience as an MA in an outpatient clinic or medical office
- BLS certification (AHA or ARC only)
- Proficiency with venipuncture/phlebotomy and specimen handling
- Experience charting in Epic and/or CS-Link
- Required flu vaccination (no exemptions/declinations as noted by facility policy)
Education
- Medical Assistant Diploma (DAPIP-accredited)
- High School Diploma or GED
Knowledge & Skills
- Strong vital signs collection and patient rooming skills
- Phlebotomy and blood draw expertise
- Epic and CS-Link electronic health record proficiency
- Ability to obtain 12-lead EKGs and perform basic EKG interpretation workflow
- Telephone triage and clear patient communication
- Competence with point-of-care testing (glucometer, urine dipstick/UA)
- Specimen labeling and lab workflow knowledge
- Comfort administering immunizations and injections
- Familiarity with outpatient/internal medicine clinic workflows
