Roles & Responsibilities

• Assess and monitor patients with accuracy and compassion during night hours
• Administer medications, IVs, and treatments according to physician orders and facility protocols
• Coordinate patient care handoffs with day teams to ensure continuity
• Document care and chart thoroughly in the electronic medical record
• Respond quickly to changes in patient condition and escalate when necessary
• Provide patient and family education in a clear, respectful manner
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to support positive outcomes

Qualifications

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license - Pennsylvania RN or RN compact acceptable
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; ACLS preferred where applicable
• Comfortable and experienced working night shifts and weekend schedule
• Clinical experience in an acute care setting preferred
• Strong communication, critical thinking, and time management skills

Education

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Patient assessment and clinical monitoring
• Medication administration and IV therapy
• Familiarity with electronic medical records and documentation best practices
• Ability to prioritize in a fast-paced environment
• Effective communication with patients, families, and care teams
• Basic emergency response and stabilization skills
