Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide skilled physical therapy evaluations and develop individualized treatment plans
• Deliver therapeutic interventions such as therapeutic exercise, mobility training, and functional task practice
• Monitor patient progress and update care plans to achieve measurable outcomes
• Document treatments and outcomes accurately and timely in the facility’s charting system
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to coordinate patient care and discharge planning
• Adhere to facility policies and safety procedures to ensure a secure treatment environment

Qualifications

• Professional experience as a Physical Therapist (role expects PT-level skills and clinical judgment)
• Comfort working within the California Correctional Institution environment and following facility credentialing processes
• Willingness to complete a 3-week orientation as part of onboarding
• Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with a multidisciplinary team

Knowledge & Skills

• Clinical knowledge of physical therapy assessment and intervention
• Skilled in therapeutic exercise, functional mobility training, and patient education
• Accurate documentation and outcome tracking
• Ability to adapt treatment plans to varied patient needs and security environment
• Professionalism, reliability, and strong interpersonal skills
