Shift Type: Night shifts, 6:42 PM - 7:12 AM (12-hour nights), days vary / schedule to be confirmed (36-hour guarantee)
Hours per Week: 38
Candidate Pay Rate: $60 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Assess patients thoroughly — physical, emotional, psychosocial and family support needs to drive care decisions
- Organize and coordinate all aspects of critical care, tailoring interventions to each patient’s needs
- Evaluate patient progress and correlate clinical information to ensure goals on the care plan are met
- Collaborate and consult with multidisciplinary team members to implement total patient care
- Document care accurately and timely in Epic and maintain an up-to-date skills checklist pertinent to SICU
Qualifications
- Active Michigan RN license (LARA and/or Nursys verification required)
- Minimum 2+ years of SICU experience — required
- Open Heart trained — required
- Current American Heart Association BLS and ACLS certifications — required
- Prior travel assignment experience — preferred
- Epic EMR experience — preferred
- Two supervisory reference forms completed within the last two years and an up-to-date ICU skills checklist
- Candidates must live outside the facility’s 50-mile local radius restriction (facility will not consider local candidates)
Knowledge & Skills
- Critical care nursing with strong pre-operative and post-operative care skills
- Advanced patient assessment and care coordination
- Experienced with nursing process and clinical decision-making in high-acuity settings
- Collaborative communication with multidisciplinary teams
- Familiarity with Epic EMR for documentation and care planning
- Competence in cardiac/critical care protocols and open-heart post-op management
