Shift Type: 4x12 Day schedule (varied weekdays), 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM, includes every-other-weekend coverage; Day shift. Start dates limited to March 9, 2026 or March 23, 2026.

Candidate Pay Rate: $57 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality progressive care nursing for adult cardiac/telemetry patients, using best-practice assessment and interventions
- Monitor cardiac rhythms and interpret telemetry, responding quickly to changes in condition
- Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately, following hospital protocols
- Document patient care thoroughly in Epic to ensure continuity and team communication
- Collaborate with physicians and the interdisciplinary team to create and carry out individualized care plans
- Assist with patient education and discharge planning to promote positive outcomes
- Float between like units as needed to meet facility staffing needs while maintaining scope of practice
Qualifications
- Active RN license (NC preferred) and eligibility to practice in North Carolina
- Minimum 2 years of clinical nursing experience; first-time travel nurses are accepted
- Must hold BLS and ACLS certifications
- NIH Stroke Scale certification required
- Must pass the facility EKG exam with no exceptions
- Comfortable working 12-hour day shifts and covering every-other-weekend as required
- Able to float to similar units when needed; flexible and team-oriented
- Pending licenses are not accepted for this assignment
Education
- Associate or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (ADN/BSN) preferred
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
Knowledge & Skills
- Strong telemetry and cardiac monitoring skills
- Proficiency with Epic charting and electronic documentation
- EKG interpretation and rhythm recognition
- Ability to manage patient ratios around 1:4-5 on days
- Effective communication and teamwork in a fast-paced acute care environment
- Good time management and clinical prioritization during 12-hour shifts
- Familiarity with short-term acute care and teaching hospital workflows
