Roles & Responsibilities

• Perform thorough occupational therapy evaluations and develop individualized treatment plans
• Deliver hands-on therapy focused on improving activities of daily living, mobility, and independence
• Collaborate closely with nurses, PTs, SLPs, physicians and other team members to coordinate patient care
• Document patient progress clearly and timely in the electronic medical record
• Educate patients and families on home programs and adaptive strategies to support long-term outcomes
• Participate in care planning and discharge coordination to ensure smooth transitions
• Maintain clinical competencies and contribute to a positive, patient-centered environment

Qualifications

• Licensed Occupational Therapist in Maryland, or eligible to obtain state licensure
• Current BLS/CPR certification (or willingness to obtain upon hire)
• Experience in inpatient, outpatient, or post-acute rehabilitation settings preferred
• Strong clinical assessment and documentation skills
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities; patient-centered approach

Education

• Master’s or Doctorate in Occupational Therapy (OT/OTD) from an accredited program

Knowledge & Skills

• Skilled in OT assessment and treatment planning for ADLs and functional mobility
• Experience with adaptive equipment, splinting, and therapeutic activities
• Proficient documentation practices and comfort with electronic medical records
• Ability to educate patients and caregivers effectively
• Strong time management and clinical prioritization skills
