Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate personal care and assistance with activities of daily living (ADLs)
- Assist residents with mobility, transfers, and safe ambulation
- Monitor and record vital signs and observe changes in condition
- Support nursing staff with treatments, documentation, and care plans
- Maintain a safe, clean, and respectful environment for residents
- Communicate clearly with residents, families, and team members to ensure coordinated care
- Promote dignity, independence, and emotional well-being for each resident
- Participate in shift handoffs and team meetings to ensure continuity of care
Qualifications
- Valid LNA (Licensed Nursing Assistant) certification — VT or NH as applicable
- Current BLS/CPR certification preferred
- Comfortable working the 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM day shift, including weekends as scheduled
- Experience in long-term care or skilled nursing helpful but new graduates with strong caregiving skills are welcome
- Strong communication skills and a team-oriented attitude
- Ability to pass facility background checks and meet onboarding requirements
Education
- High school diploma or GED
- Completion of an approved LNA training program and state certification
Knowledge & Skills
- Patient-centered care and support with ADLs
- Basic clinical skills: vitals, documentation, and infection control
- Safe transfer and mobility assistance techniques
- Clear verbal and written communication with staff and families
- Time management and the ability to prioritize resident needs
- Teamwork, reliability, and a positive attitude in a fast-paced care setting
