Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate personal care and assistance with activities of daily living (ADLs)
• Assist residents with mobility, transfers, and safe ambulation
• Monitor and record vital signs and observe changes in condition
• Support nursing staff with treatments, documentation, and care plans
• Maintain a safe, clean, and respectful environment for residents
• Communicate clearly with residents, families, and team members to ensure coordinated care
• Promote dignity, independence, and emotional well-being for each resident
• Participate in shift handoffs and team meetings to ensure continuity of care

Qualifications

• Valid LNA (Licensed Nursing Assistant) certification — VT or NH as applicable
• Current BLS/CPR certification preferred
• Comfortable working the 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM day shift, including weekends as scheduled
• Experience in long-term care or skilled nursing helpful but new graduates with strong caregiving skills are welcome
• Strong communication skills and a team-oriented attitude
• Ability to pass facility background checks and meet onboarding requirements

Education

• High school diploma or GED
• Completion of an approved LNA training program and state certification

Knowledge & Skills

• Patient-centered care and support with ADLs
• Basic clinical skills: vitals, documentation, and infection control
• Safe transfer and mobility assistance techniques
• Clear verbal and written communication with staff and families
• Time management and the ability to prioritize resident needs
• Teamwork, reliability, and a positive attitude in a fast-paced care setting
