Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, hands-on personal care to residents and patients
• Assist with activities of daily living (bathing, dressing, toileting, feeding) respectfully and safely
• Monitor and report changes in patient condition to the nursing team promptly
• Take and record vital signs accurately and document observations in the chart
• Support safe patient transfers and mobility, using proper body mechanics
• Collaborate with nurses and interdisciplinary staff to deliver person-centered care
• Maintain a clean, safe environment and follow infection control procedures

Qualifications

• Active Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification — required
• Completion of an accredited CNA program (or equivalent) — required
• Previous CNA experience preferred but new grads who are eager to learn are welcome
• Current CPR/BLS certification preferred or willingness to obtain
• Ability to work the scheduled long day shift (6:00 AM - 6:30 PM) and lift/assist as needed
• Strong communication skills and a compassionate bedside manner

Education

• High school diploma or GED required
• Completion of an accredited Certified Nursing Assistant program required

Knowledge & Skills

• Hands-on patient care and ADL assistance
• Accurate vital signs measurement and charting
• Basic infection control and safety practices
• Comfortable with mobility assistance and safe transfer techniques
• Team collaboration and clear communication with clinical staff
• Time management and reliable documentation habits
