Shift Type: Night, 3x12-hour shifts (7:00 PM - 7:00 AM), typically 3 nights/week; includes every-other-weekend requirement (Night/NOC)
Hours per Week: 36
Candidate Pay Rate: $52 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Monitor continuous cardiac telemetry and promptly identify & escalate dysrhythmias
- Interpret cardiac rhythms and manage dysrhythmias with confidence and clinical judgment
- Administer IV therapy, start and maintain IVs, and manage PICC and central line care
- Safely administer blood products and follow heparin/PCA protocols as needed
- Respond as an active member of Rapid Response and Code teams to support critical patients
- Document thoroughly and accurately in Epic to ensure continuity of care
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams (PT, Respiratory, Pharmacy, Social Work, etc.) to optimize patient outcomes
- Provide patient- and family-centered education for surgical, orthopedic and neuro diagnoses
- Adhere to infection control, isolation precautions and facility policies to keep patients and staff safe
Qualifications
- Active RN license (North Carolina) — pending licenses are not accepted
- Minimum 2 years of MS/Telemetry nursing experience (MS/Tele) — experience with telemetry monitoring and dysrhythmia care is essential
- BLS and ACLS required; NIH/NIHSS required
- Epic charting experience required
- Comfort with IV therapy, central/PICC line management, and blood product administration
- Ability to float within scope to like units as needed
- Willingness to work every-other-weekend and participate in scheduled call per unit policy
- First-time travel RNs are accepted — we welcome new travelers
Knowledge & Skills
- Telemetry monitoring and cardiac rhythm interpretation
- Dysrhythmia management and emergency cardiac response
- IV therapy, phlebotomy, central line and PICC management
- Blood product administration and adherence to transfusion protocols
- Experience with Epic electronic charting and accurate documentation
- Familiarity with respiratory supports (BiPAP/CPAP, HFNC) and chest tube care
- Wound care, drain management (JP/Hemovac), and traction/external fixator familiarity
- Comfort managing neurologic patients (seizures, post-op neurosurgery) and orthopedic/trauma diagnoses
- Strong teamwork, communication, and rapid response participation skills
