Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate direct patient care and assist with activities of daily living
• Support patient mobility, safe transfers, and fall prevention measures
• Take and record vital signs, observe changes, and promptly report concerns
• Assist nursing team with treatments and bedside care following care plans
• Maintain accurate, timely documentation to support continuity of care
• Adhere to infection control standards and promote a safe, clean environment
• Communicate effectively with patients, families, and the interdisciplinary team

Qualifications

• Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) credential (required)
• Authorization to practice in New Mexico or appropriate state documentation
• Previous experience in long-term care, rehab, or similar settings is a plus
• Strong communication skills and a team-focused attitude
• Reliable, compassionate, and able to manage physical demands of the role

Education

• High school diploma or GED preferred
• Completed approved CNA program and active CNA certification

Knowledge & Skills

• Skilled in assisting with ADLs and patient hygiene needs
• Comfortable with safe patient handling and transfer techniques
• Able to take accurate vital signs and recognize basic changes in condition
• Familiarity with basic charting and following care plans
• Solid infection control practices and attention to detail
