Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate direct care to patients, assisting with activities of daily living
- Support patient mobility and comfort during daily routines and rehab activities
- Monitor and report changes in patient condition to the nursing team
- Maintain accurate, timely documentation of care and observations
- Help keep the care environment clean, safe, and respectful for patients and families
- Collaborate with nurses and therapists at Genesis - West Region to deliver coordinated care
Qualifications
- Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification (required)
- Comfortable and capable of working a 6:00 AM - 6:30 PM day shift (long/12+ hour shifts)
- Compassionate approach and strong teamwork skills
Education
- High school diploma or GED preferred
Knowledge & Skills
- Patient-centered care and dignity-focused assistance
- Basic clinical observation and timely reporting
- Accurate documentation and attention to detail
- Effective communication with patients, families, and clinical teams
- Time management and the ability to prioritize patient needs
