Roles & Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough patient evaluations and develop individualized treatment plans
• Deliver direct speech therapy interventions and document clinical progress accurately
• Maintain accurate patient records and ensure correct billing/reporting for your caseload
• Report and interpret treatment outcomes to inform ongoing care
• Participate in patient care meetings and coordinate with interdisciplinary staff
• Design and present in-service trainings to staff as requested
• Provide patient and family education to support therapy goals and home carryover
• Supervise support personnel in the immediate work area and mentor team members
• Assist with community education and public relations activities when appropriate

Qualifications

• Master's Degree in Speech Language Pathology (required)
• Certification in accordance with the American Speech Language Hearing Association (ASHA/CCC-SLP)
• Active Florida license required for submission
• Ability to safely lift and assist patients up to 50 pounds; minimal assist transfers
• Competence in clinical documentation and billing/reporting for speech therapy
• Comfort working within Medicare and private insurance guidelines

Education

• Master's Degree in Speech Language Pathology

Knowledge & Skills

• Skilled in evaluation, treatment planning, and delivery of speech therapy
• Strong clinical documentation and accuracy in billing/reporting
• Experience coordinating care with interdisciplinary teams
• Ability to develop and present in-service education
• Effective patient and family education and communication skills
