Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate personal care and assistance with activities of daily living
- Assist patients with mobility, transfers and positioning to promote comfort and safety
- Monitor, record and report changes in vital signs and patient condition
- Support nursing staff with timely and accurate documentation
- Maintain a clean, safe and respectful environment for patients and families
- Collaborate with the care team to deliver person-centered care and timely interventions
- Respond to patient needs promptly and with empathy to enhance patient experience
Qualifications
- Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification
- State certification or eligibility to obtain New Mexico CNA credentials
- Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR) certification preferred
- Comfortable assisting with ADLs, patient transfers and basic clinical tasks
- Strong communication skills and a team-first attitude
- Previous experience in long term care, rehab or acute care preferred but new-to-travel CNAs are welcome
Education
- High school diploma or GED
- Completion of an accredited CNA training program
Knowledge & Skills
- Proficiency in patient hygiene, feeding and toileting assistance
- Ability to take and record vital signs accurately
- Understanding of infection control and safe patient handling
- Basic charting and documentation skills
- Time management and the ability to prioritize patient needs
- Collaborative communication with nurses, therapists and families
