Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate personal care and assistance with activities of daily living
• Assist patients with mobility, transfers and positioning to promote comfort and safety
• Monitor, record and report changes in vital signs and patient condition
• Support nursing staff with timely and accurate documentation
• Maintain a clean, safe and respectful environment for patients and families
• Collaborate with the care team to deliver person-centered care and timely interventions
• Respond to patient needs promptly and with empathy to enhance patient experience

Qualifications

• Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification
• State certification or eligibility to obtain New Mexico CNA credentials
• Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR) certification preferred
• Comfortable assisting with ADLs, patient transfers and basic clinical tasks
• Strong communication skills and a team-first attitude
• Previous experience in long term care, rehab or acute care preferred but new-to-travel CNAs are welcome

Education

• High school diploma or GED
• Completion of an accredited CNA training program

Knowledge & Skills

• Proficiency in patient hygiene, feeding and toileting assistance
• Ability to take and record vital signs accurately
• Understanding of infection control and safe patient handling
• Basic charting and documentation skills
• Time management and the ability to prioritize patient needs
• Collaborative communication with nurses, therapists and families
