Shift Type: Days not specified, 7:00 AM - 3:00 PM, Day shift (30-minute meal break)
Hours per Week: 40
Candidate Pay Rate: $19 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, hands-on care to geriatric residents, focusing on dignity and comfort
- Assist residents with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing and mobility
- Monitor and record vital signs and observe changes in resident condition
- Support meal service and assist with feeding when needed
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of resident care and communications
- Collaborate with nursing staff and allied team members to follow care plans
- Help maintain a safe, clean and comfortable environment for residents
Qualifications
- GNA certification (Geriatric Nursing Assistant) required
- Current basic life support (BLS/CPR) preferred or willingness to obtain
- High level of compassion, patience and strong communication skills
- Background check and immunization verification as required by facility
- Previous experience in long-term care or working with older adults is preferred but enthusiastic learners are welcome
Education
- High school diploma or equivalent
- GNA certification (required)
Knowledge & Skills
- Knowledge of activities of daily living and resident assistance techniques
- Ability to take and record vitals accurately
- Familiarity with infection control practices and safe patient handling
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to communicate with residents and families
- Basic documentation skills and attention to detail
