Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, hands-on care to residents including bathing, dressing, and assistance with activities of daily living
• Take and record vital signs accurately and report any changes to the nursing team
• Assist with mobility, transfers, and safe use of assistive devices to promote independence
• Maintain clear, timely documentation in the resident record
• Communicate proactively with nurses, therapists, and families to support coordinated care
• Observe and report any behavioral or clinical changes to ensure resident safety
• Help create a warm, dignified environment that respects resident preferences and privacy

Qualifications

• Valid CNA certification (Certified Nursing Assistant)
• State of New Mexico CNA certification or ability to obtain state authorization as required
• Current basic life support (BLS) certification if required by facility
• Clear background check and up-to-date immunizations per facility policy
• Comfortable working 12+ hour day shifts and supporting a fast-paced care environment

Education

• High school diploma or GED preferred
• Completion of an accredited CNA training program and current CNA certification

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong fundamentals in resident care and comfort measures
• Proficient in taking vital signs and recognizing changes in condition
• Able to assist with ADLs, transfers, and mobility safely
• Good documentation skills and attention to detail
• Clear, compassionate communication with residents and team members
• Team player attitude with a focus on resident-centered care
