Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, patient-centered nursing care during overnight hours
• Assess and monitor patients, recognizing and escalating changes in condition
• Administer medications and treatments accurately and on time
• Document patient care thoroughly in the chart, keeping the team informed
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to coordinate safe, effective care
• Assist with admissions, discharges, and transfers to keep patient flow moving
• Respond calmly and effectively to emergencies and assist with stabilization

Qualifications

• Active LPN or RN license (able to practice as the role requires)
• Current BLS/CPR certification
• Comfortable working overnight/extended shifts as part of a travel assignment
• Previous acute care or long-term care experience preferred
• Ability to complete a 12-week travel assignment and comply with facility onboarding

Education

• LPN: Practical Nursing diploma or certificate
• RN: Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong patient assessment and clinical decision-making skills
• Medication administration and documentation best practices
• Familiarity with common overnight acute care duties and triage
• Effective communication with patients, families, and interdisciplinary teams
• Basic EHR/charting skills and accurate clinical documentation
• Ability to adapt quickly to new units and facility protocols
