Roles & Responsibilities

• Perform high-quality radiographic and fluoroscopic exams across OR, ED, inpatient and portable settings
• Operate radiologic and fluoroscopic equipment safely and competently
• Evaluate images for technical quality and collaborate with radiologists to ensure diagnostic excellence
• Float between departments as assigned to meet patient care needs
• Provide intraoperative imaging support in the OR with attention to sterile technique and team coordination
• Document procedures and patient care accurately in EPIC and image management in Sectra
• Mentor and precept students, including performing competency check-offs with Grady students
• Maintain radiation safety standards and equipment care to protect patients and staff

Qualifications

• BLS certification required
• ARRT certification required
• Graduated from a JRCERT/ARRT-approved radiography program
• Minimum 1 year level 1 trauma experience OR 2-3 years at a large bed trauma level 2 facility
• Comfortable and experienced with OR imaging and general X-ray; willing to learn pediatrics and neonates
• Experience with portable imaging, ED imaging, and inpatient imaging
• Familiarity with EPIC and Sectra strongly preferred

Education

• Graduate of a JRCERT/ARRT-approved radiography program

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong knowledge of radiography and fluoroscopy techniques and safety
• Skilled in image quality evaluation and patient positioning
• Experience operating GE, Philips and CareStream imaging equipment
• Proficient with EPIC electronic medical records and Sectra image systems
• Ability to function in high-acuity trauma environments and prioritize under pressure
• Comfortable teaching, precepting students, and performing competency assessments
• Ability to float between departments and adapt quickly to changing clinical needs
